another Cyclone III and SDR SDRAM question

Hello

I have bought my first FPGA board ;).

It is not an official evaluation board.

It contains Cyclone III EP3C25Q240C8 FPGA and MT48LC4M16A2 SDR SDRAM.

Former user told me, that he have been using it with Nios2 system generated by SOpC builder.

I do not plan to use Nios, or SOpC builder in general (for now), but even for a test, i have not found there possibility to select any SDR (single data rate) memory, the list offers me only DDR and some special types of memories.

Same situation in MegaWizard.

I have the Web edition of Quartus II, and no plans to buy the full version, i am a hobbyist only - at present time.

I plan to start with some small system, an eight bit processor from opencores or something and i need some SDR interface for start.

No previous FPGA and Altera experience, only about ten projects with Xilinx CPLD's written in verilog.

Can You recommend me where to look?

What did i wrong?

Wrong part combination = wrong board?

It seems not. I think, that SDR support was removed from Quartus, or is not present in free version, or something like that. Former users company have had the full version.

The board was really cheap, instead of official evb.

Some basic tests with LED blinking and speaker beeping works fine :-)

I Looked for some third party core at opencores, have found some, but no succes with compiling it for my device.

Thank You very much

Jakub Ladman (potential Altera customer)

PS: Sorry for my poor english.
