configuration time too long ?

using a EP3C80 (MAC) 

configuration time 250ms 

 

application : expresscard module 

 

problem : the MAC receive a PERST# (reset signal) directly from the expresscard connector after 150ms but the MAC must reset the external PCIe PHY (nxp PX1012A) using the state of the PERST# 

 

The PCIe PHY interface with the PCIe signals from the connector on one side and with the MAC on his other side. the reset from the connector is directly connected to the MAC who have to reset the PHY. 

 

and my problem is that the configuration time of the MAC is 250ms so it miss the PERST signal and it doesn't redirecting the reset to the PCIe PHY . 

and maybe thus explain why the computer not recognize that new hardware connected on his port.
