Hello All,

I have a DE1 board. I've replaced the EPCS4 configuration device on the DE1 board with another Flash (M25PE40). What I do then is to compile the project as usual. Let Quartus II (verion 8.1) generate the .sof file. Then I go file->convert programming file to generate a .jic file (with Flash loader specify to EP2C20, SOF data to the .sof file Quartus II just generated and Configuration device to be EPCS4...other options left default)...Then I go to programming window and add the .jic file just created..Then I start the programming and get this error "Error: Flash Loader IP not loaded on device 1"...I then tried directly using the Active Serial programming..with the .pof file Quartus II generated...This time I got the error "Error: Can't recognize silicon ID for device 1"...So there's no way I can write to this Flash...To verify that the Flash is working or not, I tried to use the control panel and access the Flash directly. This works...Control Panel was able to write to and read back from the Flash....

Any one has a similar issue? Thx
