cyc iv: using 3V I/O standard with VCCIO=3.3V

I am working on a board that has a Cyclone IV E, with VCCIO=3.3 on the bank I am interested in here. Currently I have assigned that bank to use the LVCMOS33 standard. However, I would also like to do some tests with OCT and increasing drive strength, neither of which are supported by LVCMOS33. The "closest" I/O standard would be LVCMOS30 or LVTTL30.

Can I assign an I/O bank with VCCIO=3.3V to use the LVCMOS30 standard, without causing damage to the device? Any other thoughts/experience on this would also be appreciated.

Thanks,

JL
