Greetings, I have instructions from a customer to program a Cyclone SoC using jtagmaxprog within the the bin64 directory of Quartus. Unfortunately this command (script?) is not found.
It seems that this is part of the USB blaster programming motif; as such there is the embedded USB blaster on the target PCB, however, when Google only shows one hit for 'jtagmaxprog', it seems that many questions arise as to the apparent secrecy of this ;) Is there any further detail that is being missed here in order to obtain this command? My Best Thanks....Link Copied

Search in my C:/Altera directory of "jtagmaxprog*" found 2 files: C:/altera/11.1/quartus/bin/pdbmin/jtagmaxprog.pdb and C:/altera/12.1/quartus/bin/pdbmin/jtagmaxprog.pdb, created with Microsoft C/C++ 7.00.
So that this is .exe. Google give 3 links, all from www.alteraforum.com, and including this :) Ask your customers for send this program or give instructions for it getting from Altera. May get links to documentation or quote it in detail ? What operations may be only through jtagmaxprog ? If may use free Quartus Programmer or Signal Tap for this ? They see 3 JTAG-devices on board and may download program files there. On board present also connector for external USB-blaster in parallel with internal.
