load code from altera device

Hi All, can anyone tell me how to load code(program) from altera device, i'm repairing someboard with EPM7128SQ100 inside and want to replace the damage IC with new one (i'm using beeprog+)

The said programmer can read Altera EPM700S series offline, if the security bit is not set. If the JTAG interface is connected, you can read the device in circuit with Altera or industry standard JTAG adapters. Of course, if the device is damaged, you're possibly not able to read valid configuration data.

Thanks for your quick reply FvM, right now i'm using in system programming but only able to see the device code using the "ONLY" jam file found from the programmer file, is there specific jam file to load the code (beside the damage one, i also have the running board as comparison)

I'm not aware of the JTAG abilities of the said programmer. Generally, it must know the specific programming algoritms used by Altera. Using Altera tools and adapters is the most simple method. Programming with industry standards programmers is mainly a series production topic, for developers it's sufficient to know, that it's basically possible. Assembly service providers are using professional equipment, that is able to perform device programming according to Altera requirements.
