It's great that You want to do that. But where is the problem? I see no questions, so there are no problems?

I am a beginner in the PCI Express communication protocol.
First there are two IP configuration mode , root port and endpoint, I don't understand the difference between the two modes. also I want to know the steps for configuring the IP and how the interface between IP and my application to be able to make transactions.- Mark as New

Well the words "root port" and "endpoint" talks for themselves, however You can easily find the answer in Wikipedia. For test purposes, try the factory examples from Altera.

IIRC the Altera PCI Express IP doesn't support very well the rootpoint functionality. Last time I checked it supported only at a very low level and you had to do a lot by hand.
