pin assignments

Using Quartus 13.1 to program Cyclone IV.

Fitter reports - Trigger: missing drive strength and slew rate.

Pin Planner - Trigger (output pin) - Current strength 8mA, slew rate 2. (i,e, defaults)

I have tried changing the assignments and trying the fitter again but no better. Tried using a different PC, still no good. The program produces a .pof file and says the EPCS16 programmed OK, but the output is fixed high. I am presuming the above problem is the culprit.

Help would be gratefully received , but please keep it simple - I am not a programmer!

Regards

Ken

Is "trigger" the name of an output signal?  You should probably show some code to understand what is happening here.
