What do you want to do with .bmp files ?  

I mean for :  -> high level image analyse you should use langage C (under uClinux/Linux/HAL) -> low level HDL process (for displaying on screen etc...)  Tell us !

I work in langage C inder windows 

and I would like do the implmetation inder niosII in softwere .I search an algorithm of reading image .bmp with niosII(in c++).

"Fast Image Download Demo" reference design meybe what you want. 

 You can get it from nioswiki.   I have test the design, the download speed is ~80KBytes/s, it is not very fast but also not slow.
