short between Gnd and +5 volt in DE0

Hi ..  

i have altera DE0 Kit  

when i was working on the project i shorted between the gnd and +5v on the pin expansion out  

and the kit want work after this short !! :\  

is the kit damaged !! :\

I think it probably is damaged, yes. I'm afraid that is a difficult lesson learned the hard way. Look after your hardware!

Remove all custom connections. 

Check if 5v voltage regulator is gone and replace it if doesn't works.
