Cannot update/install both Intel RST or Optane GUI

Hello,

I recently formatted my two internal NVMe SSDs and set them up as a RAID0 volume before reinstalling windows. After getting everything set up, upon trying to install updated RST drivers I am greeted with a message that says "This platform is not supported".

I'm confused by this as, on my prior (single drive) windows install I was able to install the RST driver and GUI perfectly fine on top of my manufacturer (ASUS) provided ones. I also don't understand why changing my setup to RAID0 would change any compatibility. For some reason the forums will not let me attach the .log files for both installers, but if they are needed I can paste their contents in a reply. I have included an SSU log. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hello, @CBibby

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I will gladly assist you here.

Have you tried installing your System Manufacturer's driver? Does this issue happen with their driver? Since this is an Asus laptop and comes only with one drive.

The Intel® RST drivers are provided by your System Manufacturer and we recommend checking with your System Manufacturer and use the driver software provided by them to avoid potential installation incompatibilities. Intel supplies generic versions of Intel® RST for general purposes. Computer manufacturers might have changed the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to the graphics driver software or software packaging.

Hi Jocelyn,

I am currently using my manufacturer provided drivers. However, I was wanting to gain access to the RST/Optane GUI in order to have a bit more control over my drives and check SMART status more easily from time to time. Previously, installing updated RST drivers also installed the GUI. Is there no way for me to go about this now, or is it possible to get around the installation error I'm receiving.

Hello, @CBibby

Thank you for your reply.

You can use your System Manufacturer drivers (which we recommend) and also use the Intel® Optane™ Memory and Storage Management console as well, you can get it from the Microsoft store app.

I hope this is useful for you, let me know if you have further inquiries
