Finding the right version of RST

Hi,

I'm running Windows 10 IoT LTSC (Version 1809, 64 bit) on an Asus Prime Z490M-Plus motherboard. The Asus support site specifies RST version 17.9.4.1017 for windows 10 64 bit, but does not specify if it also applies to the LTSC version.
I've had some pretty bad experiences earlier with using the wrong version of RST, so I'm looking for confirmation of compatibility. Can anyone please help?

Best regards,

KyrreN, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

In reference to your question, in the link below you will find the Intel® RST versions that we have available:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/55005/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-

As you can see there under the "Operating System" tab, "Windows 10 IoT LTSC Version 1809, 64 bit" is not listed or showing as validated by Intel®, which means there could be limitations or compatibility problems with that specific OS and the Intel® tool.

As you mentioned, ASUS also does not list "Windows 10 IoT LTSC Version 1809, 64 bit" as a tested and fully upported operating system for their board. We always recommend to use the tools and applications provided by the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) of the board for the proper functionality of them:

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/All-series/PRIME-Z490M-PLUS/helpdesk_Download/

So, in this case, the next thing to do will be to get in contact directly with ASUS for them to authenticate that information, for them to confirm if that Operating System will work with their board and with the Intel® RST version provided and validated by them, they might have a different Intel® RST version specifically dedicated for that Operating System:

Any questions, please let me know.

Albert R.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I'll see if I can get Asus to clarify for me.

Best Regards, Kyrre Nævestad.
