How to migrate from Sil 3132 controller to IRST?

My two PCs are built on the same type of motherboard with Intel Z77 chipset. One of the PCs has for 6 years used the built-in IRST controller for a RAID1 array without problem. When I had to migrate from Win 7 to Win 10 I found a suitable driver so I can keep using the IRST.

PC 2 instead uses Silicon Image Sil 3132 Raid controller for its RAID1 array (long story), but now I have to migrate that PC too from Win 7 to Win 10. Sil 3132 have no Win 10 drivers. I intend to move the Raid array to the built-in Z77 chipset in PC 2.

What is the easiest and safest way to do this? Move one HDD at a time, or can I move both HDDs to Z77 and have IRST automatically rebuild the array?

Hello altitune,

Thank you for posting.

From our end there is no documentation that will instruct you with this. Our recommendation is to check with your computer manufacturer for more information on this matter.
