Hello, @Elgauchio

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

I am sorry to hear that you have inconveniences finding this file, we currently don't have this file but I'll do my best to help you out.

If you need to pre-install the driver for the Windows installation, you can try this method, you can find it in the ReadMe notes, section 6.3 for file extraction:

6.3 Pre-Installation of INTEL(R) RST driver using the "Load Driver" Method.

a. Extract driver files from SetupRST.exe:

  - Open terminal in the directory with SetupRST.exe by right-clicking the directory

and selecting "Open in Terminal" or "Open PowerShell here"

  - Enter the following command:

   ./SetupRST.exe -extractdrivers SetupRST_extracted

b. Copy all driver files from the SetupRST-extracted to a USB key media.

c. For Microsoft Windows OS*:

  - During the operating system installation, after selecting the location to install

Windows, click 'Load Driver' to install a third party SCSI or RAID driver.

d. When prompted, insert the USB media and press Enter.

e. Follow the prompts and browse to the location of the installation files. Select the

appropriate ‘.inf’ file (64 or 32 bit). If a supported controller is detected there

will be no error message. Follow prompts to continue and complete the installation.

Hello, Elgauchio.

Good day,

Thank you for posting on the Intel Community Support forums for Optane SSDs.

I received your thread regarding this particular driver, and I will be reviewing this with you.

Please let me know the following:

1. Are you working with an Optane Memory or SSD?

2. What exactly do you mean by VMD driver? or what are you trying to do and why is this required?

3. What is the model of your system/motherboard?

I will follow up April 18th in case additional time is required.

Regards,

Hello sir, may you please provide download link to the vdm drivers file you managed to extract, the command is not working for me, I'm getting an error that reads, Program 'SetupRST.exe' failed to run: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from and unknown sourceAt line: 1 char: 1

I downloaded and unpacked SetupRST.exe on my Windows 11 system. The .inf files contain SourceDisksFiles.amd64.

Shouldn't they contain SourceDisksFiles.ia64?

The bootable media creation process (in Acronis True Image 2019) did not include iaStorAfs.sys and the boot failed.
