Intel Desktop Board DZ77SL-50K drivers (SATA)

I am planning on building an all-new windows XP/7 dual boot PC, using only parts that are still new-in-box for the purpose of playing old windows xp/7 era of games. I have a copy of windows XP SP2, and windows 7. One of the parts that I have is an intel board, the DZ77SL-50K. The problem is there is no longer official support for this board on this website for me to get drivers from. all i have is the CD it came with. Is there any way i could get the drivers, specifically the SATA controller driver? Since i will be using SATA drives, not IDE. I know this will be an issue when installing XP. I know there are ways to slipstream them into a burned disc, but i really want to install xp using only the official copy that i have. If there are any workarounds that anyone would recommend, please let me know. I am still learning, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Install Windowss 10, and run xp and w7 in a vm.  I do, and it works fine.

The only SATA driver that I know of is within the Intel RST package - and you don't need Intel RST, or this driver, unless you plan to use RAID.

As for other drivers necessary, I would start with the Express Installer CD; it should take care of the basics. I can look in my archive to see what else I can find. It may take a day or two to do so, however.

Thanks for the reply! I read somewhere that during the installation process of XP that it will not recognize any SATA hard drives, or even SATA optical drives, unless you go into the BIOS and use IDE compatibility mode instead of AHCI. Is that correct? And i do not plan to use RAID, but i will be using two modern HDD’s, one to install XP, and the other for 7. I just want to make sure i don’t mess anything up. If there is any step that i am missing please let me know. Thank you!

I am afraid I don't have much to offer from a driver standpoint. I had done a pretty good job of removing support for WinXP from my archive. All I can offer is an old build of the Intel HD Graphics driver, which I have placed in one of my Cloud folders (here:  Other Legacy Drivers).

I gotta say (agreeing with Doc) that a better approach, presuming you (also) have a 3rd-gen processor, is to install Windows 10 and then run Win7 and/or WinXP in a VM. This is going to work out much better from a device support standpoint and should still ensure that compatibility with older software is possible.

I know there are ways to run XP without having hardware that’s compatible, but i wanted to actually run it on the latest hardware that could still run XP, i got the idea from videos I’ve seen of other similar builds, but none of them should the installation process, and when i ask how they did it they either don’t reply or don’t give enough information. I appreciate your help nonetheless. I’ll just have to keep doing my research. Thank you

Im thinking of just going into the BIOS and switching to IDE mode for my HDD and Optical drive before i install XP, and I’m hoping the SATA driver will be on the motherboard CD so I can switch back to AHCI in the BIOS.
