Intel RST not working after Windows 10 1803 update. Platform not supported error.

Hi,

Windows 10 1803 is crashing all time at my system. I cannot update RST, because of an platform not supported error.

My motherboard is an Asus rampage IV at normal speeds at all with an X79 chipset.

Is there any workaround or a solution in near future?

Thank you.

Kay

Hello kaymb,

Thank you for posting.

I would like to let you know that the Sandy Brigde processors family does not fully support Windows 10. Also, I noticed from https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/RAMPAGE_IV_EXTREME/HelpDesk_Download/ RAMPAGE IV EXTREME Driver & Tools | Motherboards | ASUS Global that there are no drivers for SATA drivers for Windows® 10, for other operating systems you can find the the right Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Driver version under SATA.

You can try to use the following version: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25165/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-User-Interface-and-Driver Download Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) User Interface and Driver, but is not likely to work for your operating system and chipset model.

Our recommendation is to check with ASUS if your motherboard fully supports this operating system and which Intel® RST version is recommneded for it.
