Intel rapid storage driver - "platform is not supported"

I get the following error message no matter what version of RST I tried to install.

I'm using windows 10 x64 home on an asus ux501jw laptop.

Any help to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

You need to first check the computer BIOS program and see if the drive is set as AHCI or RAID mode. If you find any other SATA mode you will need to swap it and then reinstall the operating system. This is required because the operating system will require different drivers from scratch.

My bios setting is set to ahci and there's no option for raid (only IDE). Since its a hm87 chipset I thought it would still be possible to install the RST drivers.

Please test downloading the Intel® Rapid Storage 14.5 off your computer manufacturer's website
