RAID 1 Array: SATA vs PCIe controller

I originally had 2xSATA SSDs setup in a RAID 1 array. I recently replaced both drives with PCIe NVMe SSDs. I was able to do the migration just fine by removing and rebuilding one drive at a time. My question is, the RAID 1 array was originally setup using the SATA controller option in "Create RAID Volume". Now that I have NVMe drives, should I break the RAID 1 array and recreate it using the PCIe controller option in "Create RAID Volume"? Are there any performance benefits of SATA vs PCIe controller?

Thank you.

BobSmith, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

We will do further research on this matter, for us to be able to do that, please provide the following details:

What is the model of the Intel® processor?

What is the model of the motherboard?

If this is a laptop, what is the model of it?

What version of Intel® RST are you using?

Which Windows* version is currently installed in your computer?

Does the problem happen at home or in the work environment?

Please attach the SSU report so we can verify further details about the components in your platform, check all the options in the report including the one that says "3rd party software logs":
