after an update of bios asus motherboard p10s-i i could not raid volume 0 boot again!

situation before update:

ID:0 crucial_ct275mx3 and ID:1 crucial_ct275mx3 build a raid 1: volume 0

actual situation:

in bios i have configure to raid

boot is disabled, because this the single way to start windows 2016 server essential from one ssd disk, after boot i have access to both ssd in windows!

the two ssd disk are since a time smart, but not critical - i will change these next time

now the problem:

how to re-bulid a volume 0 raid 1 again from these two ssd?

in boot-gui <ctlr-i> only the entry "4. mark disk as spare" is possible

how i can rebuild without data lost? How  i can reboot start windows 2016 server essentail form raid 1 volume 0.

Hello @hobaka

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities. We would be more than glad to help you with your issue.

In order to have a better understanding of your issue, please provide me with the following:

SSU: Please download and scan your system using our tool, Intel® System Support Utility so we can help check your system info first. Once finished downloading, open the tool, click on scan 'Everything', click next, then save the system information to a .txt file. Please provide the .txt file.

This document will be necessary to check your entire system, in order to find possible errors or incompatibilities.

Also, based on the visual evidence, it appears that there is no existing RAID configuration. To provide further clarification, we need to confirm whether you intend to establish a new RAID configuration from scratch. The images indicate the absence of any pre-existing RAID setup, and it is imperative to understand how the initial RAID configuration was established. Additionally, sharing an SSU would be helpful for us to assess the current state of the device. It is worth noting that the device appears to be of an older model.

Hello hobaka

I wish to express my gratitude for your patience in this matter.

Following a comprehensive review of your case by the RAID department, several critical observations have come to light:

  • Given the utilization of an older system configuration, it has been determined that the RAID was initially established via the BIOS and is presently not being detected. Furthermore, it is not permitting the selection of drives for a new RAID configuration; they are merely being recognized as spare drives. This issue appears to have emerged following a BIOS update.

In light of this, our recommended course of action is to seek assistance from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) responsible for your motherboard. This resolution compels us to formally close this particular thread, as the issue lies within the domain of the motherboard manufacturer. We kindly request your understanding in this matter, as we will be closing this thread. For any supplementary information or queries, please feel free to submit a new question, as this particular thread will no longer be actively monitored.

With best regards,
