Dear,
I using Dell Precision 5570 workstation. It was shiped with WD SN810 disk - I added second disk and make RAID0 to get maximum perfomance.
Now one of drives report using SMART some problem so I decided to upgrade to Samsung 990 PRO drives.
It works only in RAID1 but no way to run it on RAID0.
During installation when I loading driver I see storage. Installer copying files but after reboot system showing error like in attachment .
On "old" driver I make once again RAID0 array and fresh installation without any issues.
For Intel RST I used drivers provided by Dell.
Newest drivers used from intel.com was not working and not displaying during installation at all this RAID0 drive.
(strange is that file size of this drivers was exactly the same dell vs intel )
Please help to run sucesful system on this Samsung 990PRO drives
kind regards,
Piotr Łancewicz

Hello Piotr_Lancewicz,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I can imagine how frustrating that would be.
To help you further, please provide this information:
1. What is the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) tool version?
2. Is the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) giving you any errors when trying to create an RAID 0?
3. What is the driver version that seems to be working?
4. Run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) to gather more details about the system.
- Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18377/intel-system-support-utility-for-windows.html
- Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".
- To save your scan, click Next and click Save.

Hi Deivid A.
I using Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Driver-and-Application_8J2F4_WIN64_19.5.1.1040_A02_03.EXE
I can make RAID0 from bios or windows app no problem at all.
It can not boot from this RAID0 - Win 10 and Win11 tested.
On drives WD SN810 it's possible to create and boot from RAID0
On SAmsung P990 or WD SN850 black i can only create RAID0 but I can not boot from it.
kind regards,
Piotr
