I have been running Intel RST 12.9.0.1001 for a while now, and today I tried to upgrade to 13.2.4.1000 as I noticed that a lot of applications are getting hung up on disk activity. However, the SetupRST program gives me the error that "this platform is not supported". I am running Windows 8.1 Pro in 64-bit mode with all updates I know of, and my chipset is Intel Series 7/C216. Is there something wrong with the install or is this really a bad platform? If it is, should I uninstall the old version of RST as well since RST is not supported on the platform?

I suggest keeping Intel® Rapid Storage Technology 12.9 for best results.
