i have rst 10.1.0.1008 on an s3000ah board. I have 3 hard disks in a raid 0 array, and one other disk not in an array and set as a hot spare.

How can I set this so the 3 disks are in a raid 5 array and the extra disk is a hot spare?

I don't think you can migrate a RAID 0 to RAID 5 using same amount of disks. The only way is to backup all data, re-create the array, and restore the data.

ok, is there a way to remove a disk from an existing array? assuming the space of that disk size is free?

Not that I'm aware of... Even if there is free capacity on the RAID volume, data is distributed across all disks, meaning no disk is actually "free".
