Плата intel s3420gpc (так она определила себя в биос).

Кто тестировал на совместимость с дисками SATA 3Tb?

лучшее, что нашел

I do not think this board can support boot drive > 2 TB. I could be wrong....

Для тестирования были приобретены диски 3,5" WD Red 3TB.

В BIOS диск определился объемом в 800 Gb.

Плата не работает с такими объемами.

Although this post is in another language, based on RedSun's comment, I want to add that while there is no specific hard size limit that the BIOS on the Intel® Server Board http://ark.intel.com/search?q=S3420GP S2400GP would not support, my recommendation is the following:

1. Ensure the BIOS/firmware on the board is latest; the most current is found https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/50528/Intel-Server-Board-S3420GP here.

2. See to it that the hard drive you select is among the validated list; click http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/s3420gp/sb/CS-030738.htm here for it.

3. If you plan to install the Operating System on a hard drive above 2TB. of size, you may first would like to check with the Operating System developer on their recommended procedure.

В первой записи я указал ссылку на те же списки совместимости.

Там присутствует только 1 SATA-HDD.

Не вижу смысла обновлять BIOS/firmware, и заниматься поисками этой модели HDD.

Поставили HDD по 2 TB, и успокоились.
