About smps to my system

hi

 

i am sandeep .g

 

i have PC the configuration is

 

motherboard - DP45SG

 

ram-ddr3 8gb

 

Processor-Core™2 Quad

 

nvidia graphic card - 9800GT

 

hard disk-1tb

 

i have 450w smp

 

if i install vista 64bit,i my LCD screen i can see few line's appear every time if i install xp 32bit i don't have this problem.

 

I enquire some system admin they suggested to change the smps to 700w .

 

so what shall i do now ?

 

please help me out.

It sounds like they suggested a more powerful power supply. Is there a reason you're not doing that?
