Change Global Hot Spare to Basic Drive

I have a 5520HC board using the integrated RAID contrioller. I have to virtual drives configures as RAID 1. I added a 2TB drive for system image storage. This drive is being seen as a "Global Hot Spare." I can't seem to change this either VIA the web console or the RAID console duriong startup. Can anyone give any suggestions on how to move the drive to a basic drive?
