Hello fieldtech:
Thank you for contacting the Intel Communities.
What is the product that your are using?, is this an Intel Computer? (NUC, Intel® Compute Stick, etc) or a computer that has Intel Components? (you purchase all the components and build the computer).
The other option would be that you have an OEM computer, which has a brand.
Please advise.
Regards,
Esteban C

Intel® Server Boards S4600LH2/ S4600LT2 "Lizard Head Pass"
It is an Intel mother board. We then install a company specific BIOS.
When we install the company specific bios does the vanilla intel bios that is on
the mother board get completely erase.
Also how does the 'fail safe' bios get created.
Is it created from the company specif bios we installed or was it created using the
vanilla intel bios that was on the board originally
thanks
Raul

Hello,
We would like to inform you that Intel server boards are shipped out with an Intel BIOS and this is not supposed to be changed by a third party since it will void the 3 year limited warranty for the product.
