Hi, I am new in the development of PCIe. My target is to connect Jetson TX2 with Intel Xeon E5-2600 processor over PCIe link. I studied a little bit and I found out that Jetson TX2 or Xeon can not be configured as end point as both are root complex systems. But in the datasheet of Xeon E5-2600 it was mentioned that there is a builtin PCIe NTB support. Now i am wondering if this is possible to connect Xeon with Jetson TX2 over PCIe by using PCIe cable and enabling NTB support. Also there is a NTB-RP mode in which Xeon will use NTB and other end will be RP. If there are any hardware connecting recommendation guide and NTB documentation please share. Also any specific hardware is required for NTB or just supported CPU and any HP or DELL server will work.
Thank you.

Hello sulemanzp,
Thank you for posting your question on this Intel® Community.
I understand that you are trying to connect Intel® Xeon® E5-26XX V2 with Jetson TX2 over PCIe using Non-Transparent Bridge (NTB-RP) mode?
To better assist you, I would like to obtain the following information:
- Motherboard/System model.
- How many processors are you planning on using?
- Are you using Jetson Developer Kits and Jetson modules? e.g
- https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/autonomous-machines/embedded-systems/jetson-tx2/

Hi, @IntelSupport
Thank you for your reply.
Below are the information you required form me.
1- Motherboard/System model.
* Right now I have HP Z420 Workstation with me. (Future: Custom Motherboard)
2- How many processors are you planning on using?
* I am going to use single processor right now, which is Intel Xeon E5-2680 V2. (Future: Intel Xeon D1500)
3- Are you using Jetson Developer Kits and Jetson modules?
* Yes right now i am using Jetson Developer kit that comes with Jetson TX2. (Future: Custom board with Jetson TX2)
OS: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
Current Progress:
Right now i managed to figure out that in E5-2680 V2 the NTB is supported on PCIe Port3a. Which is slot number 5 in HP Z420 motherboard. Also if you have question that why different Processors right now and in future. Because i have to provide proof of concept NTB in avaiable E5-2680 V2 and development of its driver on Linux, then i will have embedded processor.
Thank you.

Hello sulemanzp,
Due to Intel® Xeon® Processor E5 v2 Family being discontinued, Intel Customer Service no longer supports inquiries for it, but perhaps fellow community members have the knowledge to jump in and help.
You may also find the Discontinued Products website helpful to address your request. Thank you for understanding.
