Ahoy,
I have an intel NUC that has the fan speed fluctuating to high about every 10 to 30 minutes. Could somebody point me to or suggest some approaches to figuring out why this is occurring.
OS ubuntu 22.04
very low processing and application load.
A top and htop or logs show anything around the time of the heightened fan speed.
Open to suggestions.
Cheers

1. Ensure that the fan and the air inlets are clean from dust.
2. In BIOS settings Advanced>Performance>Processor uncheck (disable} the Intel Turbo Boost Technology.

Leon,
this NUC is a12th gen intel i7-1260P
BIOS Version is WSADL357.0075.2022.0322.1605
from the BIOS menu screen I click the "Power, Performance, and Cooling" menu tab then I see that the "Performance" option is not clickable and is unhighlighted. What can I do abotu this?
If I need to upgrade my BIOS - please tell me the recommended stable version, where I can download it, and the instructions for installing the new BIOS on this NUC.
Thanks in advance
