Intel Processor Identification reports Engineering Sample for Xeon Gold 5th gen

Hello, is it possible that the microcode for Intel Xeon 5th gen is not yet integrated with the latest intel processor identification utility or intel diagnostic tool?

It is reporting engineering sample on processor identification and failed in brandstring test on diagnostic. however, popular third party apps shows good information.

Thank you for your response. I would like to inform you that the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool is only compatible with up to 3rd Gen Xeon processors. Newer generations may not work as expected. As you can see, the 5th gen is not listed as a compatible CPU (at the bottom of the page).


For Datacenter CPUs, we recommend using the Intel® Data Center Diagnostic Tool for Intel® Xeon® Processors for Windows* to perform integrity checks.
