Hi!
I have one RS3DC080 controller on win2016 srv with 8core 1.7GHz CPU.
I have installed Intel RAID Web Console 3 on it and i don't satisfied by that functionality.
Is it possible to automate sending log messages into syslog server or at least into the file using or without web console (w/o webconsole case would be preferable)? Now i see just manually log download button in web console.
I have found some log file in C:\Program Files (x86)\LSI\LSIStorageAuthority\logs but there is multiple repeated messages like:

Hello gekm,
Thank you for contacting Customer Support for Intel® Products. Per you request if possible to send the logs from the RAID controller to syslog and not to use RAID Web Console.
I am afraid to keep logs you will need the RAID Web Console, and only local.
Also, the lines you send from the log file is giving error on several HDD installed on the system. Checking the model # HUH728080AL5204. I am afraid this model is not part of the compatibility list for the card (RS3DC080).
First, I will recommend to download the latest firmware https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27078/MR-3108-ROC-Hardware-RAID-Firmware-Flash-Update?product=77346 Version: 24.21.0-0012.
After the firmware upgrade I will recommend to use the server for a few hours and please send me the complete Log File for a full verification.
If there is anything else we can help please feel free to ask.
Best regards,
Henry A.

Hello!
Thanks for answer.
I already updated firmware to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27078/MR-3108-ROC-Hardware-RAID-Firmware-Flash-Update%3Fproduct%3D77346 Version: 24.21.0-0012
That log messages was recieved exactly on 24.21.0-0012 firmware version.

Hello gekm,
Thank you for log files. I going to check the log more deeply, but for what I can see roughly is problem with the memory been read from the HDD. I will recommend to conact the manufacuter of the HDD and check for compatiblity, this becasuse the RS3DC080 does not show this size of the HDD to be compatible.
If there is anything else we can help please feel free to ask.
Best regards,
Henry A.

Hello!
I have checked compatibility list on HGST side. Indeed, there isn't implemented.
But i was trying to work with array - I tried to simulate the failure of one of the disks. Array stays on. For some reason he doesn't rebuilds automatically when i puts disk back, but i able to do it manually.
Can I hope to support this model in the near future? How big is the risk of losing data in this configuration?

Hello gekm,
I am really sorry for the HDD not be compatible. Per you question the largest size tested for the https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/motherboards/server/sb/12gb_megaraid_rs3dc080_rs3dc040_thol_10.pdf RS3DC080 is 4TB.
Engineering does not have an ETA on updates to use the configuration.
If there is anything else we can help please feel free to ask.
Best regards,
Henry A.

How serious are the errors you saw in the log? What are the consequences of using this configuration?
>Engineering does not have an ETA on updates to use the configuration.
Does this mean that it is impossible to implement controller support for these disks in the future?

Hello gekm,
At this time, unfortunately, we can not give you an ETA for that compatibility.
In regards to the risk, we recommend you to back up the data a replace the disks with compatible ones.
Best regards,
