Hello there,

I would like to add some FRU Information to my S1200SPL motherboard, especially the ones listed in "Product Information".

- Manufacturer:

- Name:

- Part/Model Number:

- Version:

- Serial Number:

- Asset Tag:

Additionally I would like to set a custom boot splash screen.

How could this be done?

Thank you!

Hello newbienewbie,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In regards to the FRU information, you can add it to the system while you are completing a full firmware update, in the link below you will find the latest package that we have available for this board, you just need to run the update through the EFI shell, at some point in the update the system will tell you if you want to update the FRU information and you just need to enter it at that point, please make sure before you complete the update you read and check the information provided along with the update (Release Notes, README Text Files and the Detailed Description on the website) before moving on with the update.

In regards to the splash screen, there is a software that we have that will allow you to change the splash screen; however, this software is not publicly available, but it can be obtained from our Resource and design center (RDC) website, you will need to register first and once your registration has been approved you can use the titles below in order to search and eventually get access to both the software itself and some videos that explain how to install it and properly use it, down below you will also find an article that explains how you can apply for our RDC website.
