Hi All,

chipset initialization complete no errors found

memory initialization complete no errors found

tried resetting bios and did not fix the issue.

Thank you for the help in advance.

Hello blackryder360 ,

Greetings for the day!

Thank you for the patience.

As per the debug log analysis, we found some discrepancies in the BIOS version. In order to proceed with the issue further, we suggest you perform the following troubleshooting steps.

1.      Please perform minimum hardware configuration by installing only one CPU, one DIMM and remove all add-in cards and check if the system can boot into UEFI.

2.      If not, perform BIOS recovery and boot into UEFI.

3.      After system boot into UEFI, please update the firmware & BIOS using 02.01.0015 update package for UEFI. Kindly follow the below article to proceed further.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18911/728135/intel-server-board-s2600wf-family-bios-and-firmware-update-package-for-uefi.html

4.      Please refer the below link to follow the Readme and Update Instructions.txt in package to update.

Hi Sreelakshmi,
The server does not boot or shows anything on the screen in recovery mode. Is there any key to press to take to UEFI?

Thanks

Hello blackryder360 ,

Greetings for the day!

Debug log show adjacent events with different versions between "Update Started" and "Update Completed", e.g. 2.86 vs. 2.88, which is strange. Also, there are multiple events e.g. "BIOS image file - is lost due to BMC reset", not sure if BMC reset was caused by improper update steps. It seems that you didn't update the BIOS & BMC firmware properly. Also, there is not enough info to determine if system stuck is caused by any not tested add-in PCIe card.

Kindly perform the minimal hardware configuration (e.g. only install one CPU, one DIMM, remove all add-in cards) and check if system can boot into UEFI. If not, perform BIOS recovery and boot into UEFI.

After system boot into UEFI, update the firmware & BIOS using 02.01.0015 update package for UEFI @

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18911/intel-server-board-s2600wf-family-bios-and-firmware-update-package-for-uefi.html, follow the Readme and Update Instructions.txt in package to update.

 Hi Vijay,

I understood it may need to do bios recovery, my question is how to do proper bios recovery?

I tried changing the recovery jumper setting to 2,3 position, but the server does not show anything on display also it did not load the recovery bios from usb either.

Can you suggest why it did not load the recovery bios?

Thanks
