Hello,

I'm building a box based on a SE7520JR2:

I have installed two Xeon 3GHZ . as I let the bios on HT active. My OS reported 4 cores. Is it something wrong?

I have done few bench with Windows 7 (64 bits RC) and with Fedora 10 (64) and the four cores was present (and working:::)

With Boinc (64 bits) 4 tasks (work units) was crunching on the same time.

The Intel Proc Spec Finder doesn"t report HT feature neither EMT64.

Please let me know if I have to update the bios to solve this?

There hasn't been a BIOS update for that board for about three years, now. Whatever is on the website is going to be the latest there was.

I didn't see that SL spec on http://ark.intel.com/Search.aspx?q=SL7PE though, so I don't see any more details on it

Have you tried asking over in the processor community?

That's a single core processor. With HT enabled, you got 4 logical processors. So it seems nothing is wrong here. And yes it is a 64-bit processor.
