Hello

I have intel server SR1690WB with server board S5500WB. I have purchased intel software raid key and i have enable raid5 .

I create RAID 5 aray with 4 hard disks of 3TB each. I then create 2 virtual disks . The first is 40gb and the second is the free space that left from the array. I intalled windows 2008 r2 in the 40gb virtual disk but i cannot boot from this virtual disk. In bios in boot sequence i only see that i can boot from onboard raid controller ( AHCI) and not software raid i have allready setup .

Any help? I have installed latest bios .

Thanks

Some controllers require to you mark the VD as active in the RAID config in order to be able to boot from it.
