Hey

(Sorry my English is Bad)

I am realy pissed. I ask the support Team about this Controller.

The say i can use every HDDs i get but i cant. I need a SED HDD but which one?

I found this PDF File: http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/rs2bl0x0_rms2mh080_rs2vb0x0_rs2pi008_rs2mb044_thol.pdf http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/rs2bl0x0_rms2mh080_rs2vb0x0_rs2pi008_rs2mb044_thol.pdf

All HDDs are old and not available.

I I need only a 500GB HDD. Can i use this one: ST500NM0031 ?

THX

Avatar,

I can't tell you if the Seagate ST500NM0031 will work. Since it isn't on the Tested Hardware list for the controller, we have no way to know.

You can try with the responsibility of validating the drive yourself to your satisfaction.

500GB HDDs aren't as desirable as the larger disks these days. Most of the SED disks listed, as you know, are SAS. Not many SATA to chose from. There are 2 and 3TB SATA SED disks there though.

Sorry I can't help any more.

Regards,

John
