Hello!

My Raidcontroller SRCSASRB died! It is the second controller in this server which says Memory Error!

I'm unable to source this controller so i would like to know if the array could be read/mounted with a SRCSATAWB!?

I hope someone can help me out!

Last time the controller died john_s@intel was very helpfull - but i dont know if he's still in the forum!?

Best regrads,

Florian

Hello Flop2,

I will like to apologize on the problems you have encountered with SRCSASRB.

First I just wanted to provide with some information on Intel Policies.

"Intel Customer Service no longer responds to telephone, chat, or e-mail inquiries for this SRCSASRB but you may want to try our /community/tech/discontinued-products Discontinued Products Community to get recommendations from fellow community members. You may also find the https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/discontinued-products.html Discontinued Products Website helpful to address your request".

With your question, that you would like to know if the array could be read/mounted with an SRCSATAWB!?

Verifying the specs on each of the two cards:

SRCSASRB

https://ark.intel.com/products/32254/Intel-RAID-Controller-SRCSASRB https://ark.intel.com/products/32254/Intel-RAID-Controller-SRCSASRB

SRCSATAWB

https://ark.intel.com/products/32256/Intel-RAID-Controller-SRCSATAWB https://ark.intel.com/products/32256/Intel-RAID-Controller-SRCSATAWB

They both use the same IO processor – LSI1078.

But the SRCSATAWB only manages SATA and the SRCSASRB will manage SAS/SATA.

And because the board is EOIS is limit the information we have on them.

If there is anything else we can help please feel free to ask.

Best regards,

Hello Henry,

thx for your reply! In the meantime I can confirm...the srcsatawb CAN read the array of srcsasrb!

I made a new config via the wizard...connected the drives an all came out perfectly fine.

Best regards

Florian
