Hi,

We are currently having an issue with S2600WTTR server board that is having issues sensing PSU1 in the BMC. Both PSUs are functional (green LED) and power is drawn. We have done a cold boot, reseated the PSUs and replaced PSU1 but still the readings are Unknown and "configuration error" is detected. We have about 50 of these servers and only one is reporting this issue. All readings from PSU2 are normal and everything is green with valid values.

PSU2 is an identical part to PSU1. Server board details are:

BMC FW Build Time : 2016-03-17 13:43:26
BIOS ID : SE5C610.86B.01.01.0016.033120161139
BMC FW Rev : 1.43.9685
Boot FW Rev : 1.07
SDR Package Version : SDR Package 1.13
Mgmt Engine (ME) FW Rev : 03.01.03.021

PSU1/2 Details:

Manufacturer : DELTA
Name : DPS-750XB A
Part/Model Number : E98791-010
Version : 05

PS1 Fan Fail All deasserted Unknown Not Available
PS1 Curr Out % Normal Unknown Not Available
PS1 Temperature Normal Unknown Not Available
PS1 Status reports the power supply's presence has been detected; reports there is a configuration error OK

Hello timmjm,

Thank you for contacting Intel Customer Support.

I understand that you are having issues with the PSU1 in the BMC on your Intel® Server Board S2600WTTR.

Upon checking the information provided we noticed that you are using BIOS version 0016, have you tried to update your system BIOS? If not you can download the latest version here:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/88281/Intel-Server-Board-S2600WTTR

Also, if possible can you please share with us a copy of the BMC Debug Log for your system? You can check this website for information:

Hello,

Thank you.

Debug log is attached. The issue had not been noticed for sometime so I'm not sure if the original triggering events are still recorded.

No we havent attempted BIOS update as of yet, could you please advise the safest/recommended BIOS upgrade path from 0016 to the latest 0029?

Hello timmjm,

Thank you for sharing the Debug logs with us.

Additionally, we recommend upgrading to the older BIOS versions first and finally install version 0029. Please allow us to find the older BIOS versions first and then we will share them with you. We will send you an email with this information.

Best regards,
