The desktop and mouse pointer get stuck or freezes every 3-5 second.

And if a install Windows Server 2008 (not R2) it works fine until a install the chipset software (ver:9.1.1.1019) the a get the same problem.

I had the same problem, are you working with the onboard matrox G200 card? I think this is the problem (8mb's of video ram isnt enough), try to install a proper graphics card and report back please.

There's also a known issue in R2 with Intel NIC driver 14.2 and earlier. Install 14.4 or later (I think 14.6 is available now) and the problem should be resolved.

Hi

A think it´s 32mb of ram on s5500hcv.

After a installed a Nvidia card with 64mb it got better but not good.

So a reinstalled the onboard Matrox driver.

As suggested a updated the nic driver to 14.6 and then a played around with the SEWMDx64.exe inf tool for the Matrox card, and now it´s acceptable but not good.

A think this problem is a combination of different things, a hope the address this issue asap.

Thanks for your input in this issue.

When a installed the matrox driver with "SEWMDx64.exe 2 8 1 1 1 1" it maid it better, but if this is the right way to do it a don´t know.

Like Dan mentioned, this is a known issue caused by embedded NIC driver. You mentioned you installed driver 14.6, how did you do that? In my case I just ran the W2K8_R2-Win7_x64_Install.bat file in the intel-lan_msft_v14.6_whql.zip package and issue resolved.

Have you tried the 14.4 instead of 14.6 network drivers? Also have you installed manufacturer's x64 drivers for your mouse? I have searched a bit the internet and windows 7 have similar cursor problems.

Both 14.4 and 14.6 should fix the issue. It's not related to moue driver.

He's right. Try installing 14.6 but the using R2.bat, not the windows2008 one. and problem solved. thank you
