Hi,
I am trying to install Intel Gigabit ET Dual port server adapter on windows server 2008. I see that only PFs are getting detected properly.
Can anybody tell me whether windows supports SR-IOV capability (i mean can we create VFs with Intel Gigabit ET Dual port server adapter card on Windows) ?
I know that linux supports SR-IOV capability and we can create VFs(virtual functions) with Intel dual port server adapter. corresponding command is "modprobe igb max_vfs=7". This command creates VFs and loads VF driver.
I want to know is there any way to create VFs(virtual functions) in windows ?
Regards,
Ramu

Did you see the discussion at /message/68145# 68145 http://communities.intel.com/message/68145# 68145 ? I think you'd probably have to ask Microsoft support for Windows-specific commands like that.
