SSD SATA power cable for S2600GZ

Hi, does anyone know the part number for the ODD/SSD power cable for the S2600GZ?

There's a 6pin connector on the motherboard that has a cable that breaks out to two SATA power cables. The board/intel chassis (R1208GZ4GCSAS) we got came with a single ODD power cable for an optical drive which doesn't have SATA power on, where as the R2224GZ4GCSAS chassis came with a single ODD/SSD to two SATA power cables.

The ODD/SSD (On the S2600GZ board) to two SATA power cables are the part we're after, but no where can I find the part number for it or where to order one from.

Daniel,

Take a look at the Intel® Server System family R1000GZ/GL and R2000GZ/GL http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/r2000gz-gl/sb/CS-032832.htm Spares/Accessories List and Configuration Guide. There's a number of references to cables, either, stand alone or included in kits that may have what you need.

Regards,

John

John: It's not listed, unless it's the "SATA ODD cable for rack chassis family – 880mm long " though, I think that's just a single ODD power connector, not from the motherboard to 2xSATA power.

What we're after is this:

Hello,

I'm after this cable too. From where did you picture the above?

Hello,

See here - http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-033248.htm http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-033248.htm

It seems it's inside 2U cable kit. Only 2U supports SATA SSD (on top PSU, or airduct). 1U is only for ODD, right ?

You're right, it's the cable that comes in the 2U kit. We need to order some more because we have several of the 1U intel chassis's and need to have a non-hotswap SSD inside them. (For the OS Install)

There's no molex/etc power inside, except for that ODD/SSD socket on the S2600GZ.

(Yes there's somewhere in the 1U chassis we can fit another 2.5" SSD)

Is it possible to order JUST the ODD/SSD 2x SATA power cable? (IPN: G19127-003)

Daniel -

Intel doesn't sell the G19127-003 as a separate cable. We used to have a spare parts service, but that stopped last year.

I could post the pinouts and wiring spec for you, though, if you'd like. Would that help at all?

Hi Dan_O,

If we could get the pinouts and wiring spec that'd be great!

Do you also have the part number for the connector that plugs into the 6 pin socket on the board?
