Which Intel RAID controller is this?

Hello folks,

I've got the following RAID controller:

I believe (correct me if im wrong) that it is the one that is accompanied by the Intel S5000PSLROMBR server board.

I have been unable to locate it anywhere on the Intel website, let alone find a manual or drivers/firmware for it.

I have the S5000PSL board and wish to use this controller now.

Can any of you help?

But that is the card to enable the ROMB on the mother board. Needs to be used in the correct ROMB slot (x8 in the middle of th eboard - Slot E in the TPS pictures.

and do a Search downloads for SROMBSAS18E you should get 20 drivers, firmware or utility packages you can download.

Hi Doc,

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

I was a bit confused with the TPS for the SROMBSAS18E as it appears as if it's for a newer version of the RAID controller card than the one I have (the board layout in the TPS is not the same as my controller has).

The revision for the TPS file you pointed me to is v1.01. I've found an older version (v1.0) using Google that is for the same controller that I have. It appears that, for some reason, Intel is no longer serving this file on their website.

Now I will go ahead and try to figure out how to create a RAID set as the "Mass Controller Storage" section in the BIOS is empty? It was empty before and after a firmware update of the controller card.
