Hello to all community..
I will buy this intel controller for raid 6 to build a file server with 8 disks wd2003fyys and motherboard intel s3420gplc.
My questions are :
1) For installation Windows server 2008. Is there any way to save raid configuration?? usb stick or dvd? If raid 6 failure (not from disk, controller or mobo), to load again the settings and continuie working the raid?
2) If the SRCSATAWB stop working.. Can i put the disks to an other (same) controller and continuie working the file server?
3) If brakes the mobo i think the only that i must change is the mobo? is that true?
Thank you

Alexis,
You should be able to find the answers to most of your questions in the http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-022358.htm Intel® RAID Software user's guide.
Also check the http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/server/srcsatawb support page for the SRCSATAWB controller.
Regards,
John
