I recently bought a 19" LCD and the resolution automatically changed to 1440 x 900 when I plugged it in. I was fooling around with the resolutions then 1440 x 900 dissapeared. Now im using 1280 x 1024, ITS BAD!! I need help!

Hello,

First of all, check out this thread on custom resolutions with Intel graphics -- it's got some great tips overall on various resolutions with Intel graphics. If you're using an Intel-based graphics chipset, you can also access/set display resolution from within the graphics control panel (this should by default appear in the system notification area).

If that doesn't help, you'll need to provide some info to help others understand your specific issue and suggest some potential solutions. For example, which opsys are you running, which display and graphics hardware do you have, and which system are you running it on? As a baseline, it's always a good idea to be sure you have the latest BIOS and all appropriate driver updates as well (get the BIOS and other driver updates from your system vendor, then get the Intel graphics driver from the Intel downloads site). Though this may not solve the problem, you'll want to have the latest versions of these in place "just to be sure".

Good luck!

Regards,

Neal
