Activation fails for XE 2016 Composer Edition for C++ Windows

I got an e-mail with Info like this:

Your registration of Intel® Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition for C++ Windows* is complete!

Intel® Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition for C++ Windows* 
Your product serial number is: XXXX-XXXXXXXX
Your support services expire on: October 30, 2015
 

The installer says "Activation rights do not allow this software to be installed. This could be due to expired or incompatible serial number."

Expiration is in October, but why is it incompatible?

How can i activate ?

Ralf,

Did you upgrade your license following the procedures listed at https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/required-product-license-upgrade-for-intel-parallel-studio-xe-2016?  It looks like you went through the upgrade, but entered an incorrect HostID.  Please go to Intel® Registration Center (https://registrationcenter.intel.com) and verify that the license information is correct.  If not, please send me a private message and I can correct it.

i've now added the correct HostID.

Direct activation didn't work, but downloading the lic file and offline activation works...
