Hi,
I developed a very small sample app, the entire folder size of the project is 1.63 MB. When I build and download the .apk file its size is huge 22.1 MB.That is almost 20 times more. Can anyone explain why and how to reduce the apk file size to just KB's
Thanks in Advance

APK files are generally bigger than 2MB because of the resources bundles with your project as a part of Google's Android Build process. In terms of reducing the size of your APK created by Intel XDK, you can deselect the option under your Build Settings on the Projects tab related to Optimize with CrossWalk. This will reduce the size of your APK created at the risk that your application may function differently on Android devices as the WebView in which cross platform applications are rendered in are features and functionality varies. CrossWalk resolves that issue by bundling a WebView with the latest HTML5 features which allows for your application to run the same on all Android devices, but causes a size bump.
