The future lays on the chunky bunky collection of data sets and unlimited volume of data that we record from multi dimensional sources.

1. The Volume : That is the quantity and size of the data gathered and need to be analyzed. This is most crucial and the vast collection and higher the volume decides whether the data set is a bigdata or not

2. The Variety: It is the deciding factor that to which interest group of analysts the data  required

3. The speed at which the data being generated or recorded or collected is attributed by Velocity

4. One of the negative characteristic attribute "variability" which refers inconsistency of data.

5. The attribute "veracity" refers the quality of data being generated and it also sounds high in the outcome of accuracy of analysis

6. Complexity: This is natural to bigdata, the huge volume makes the data set complexier, which supposed to be linked, correlated for analysis

Everything is in relation to the need to reach conclusions on some occasions with a sample of 100 cases it is sufficient or it may be 1 million. As I said it depends on the subject being analyzed.

Something I would like to discuss is the possibility of selling this information, which is something that the mobile app are not watching business.

There is no doubt it is taking over.

Big data refers to a process that is used when traditional data mining and handling techniques cannot uncover the insights and meaning of the underlying data.

There were differing opinions on whether to focus on managing less data better, or whether the increasingly lower-cost computing resources would enable more efficient analysis of large data pools.

But the fact is that with the advent of IOT and cheap computing resources, its easier to collect and analyze big data.

So yeah, it is the future.
