I changed something and then I noticed that my splash screens were no longer accessible. I cannot change them or remove them to attach new ones. I really don't know what to do here. Has anyone else had this issue?

The only way I could solve this problem was by editing the YOURPROJECT.XDK file, located in the root of your project directory, manually.
Important: Before your start, make a backup of this file!

1. Close XDK.

2. Open YOURPROJECT.XDK and delete in this file the branch "splashes_": [ ..... ]
Do this for each build (android, crosswalk etc..)!

3. Save it and start XDK again

Not working for me. Still showing up broken.

Anyone using Dropbox personal with business on the same computer? It changes the directory from "Dropbox" to "Dropbox (personal)".

I am wondering if the parentheses are causing problems.

Try creating another project not in dropbox and add the splash screens back in. Does it work then?

Good tip - thanks.
Had the same problem and I found that I could correct the filenames in this file and then restart the XDK.

The images showed up again :-)
