CVF 6.5(A) and Windows Me

I'm interested in finding out how many of you are using CVF 6.5/6.5A
or running CVF 6.5/6.5A built console applications on machines
running Windows Me.

Some background. Our sales team use Samsung GT8000 laptops
running Windows Me. When we built some of our console
applications using CVF 6.5, we discovered that these laptops would
hang (stop responding to keyboard/mouse input) after the CVF built
application finished. Now my investigations suggest the problem is
probably due to one of the Samsung specific device drivers in their
OEM release of Me; a clean install from the MSDN Windows Me CD solves the problem.

However, our sales team are reluctant to use CVF 6.5, as they feel other machines may be affected. I would like to gather some
evidence to convince them otherwise, as at present I'm developing with CVF 6.5A and releasing with CVF 6.1A.

Cheers,

Mark.

BTW, Steve, CVF support are aware of this issue (CVF13199).

I can tell you that we run our test system on Windows Me, where it builds and runs tens of thousands of console applications, and we've never encountered this problem. We also know of many CVF users with Windows Me and nobody else has reported the problem. I hope you get the information you are looking for (though, as they say, lack of evidence does not prove something doesn't exist!)
