Can't activate using a student license

Hi,

I've successfully applied for a student license for Intel System Studio, but I can't use any of the activation methods to activate it. I've tried both Linux and Windows OS on a Virtualbox VM and both of offline and online activation methods. Thanks for any help.

Can you send me the serial number you're using in a private message?  I would like to verify the host ID of the license and make sure it matches the host ID of the VM.

If you are trying to install a pre-2016 product with a 2016 or later license, then you'll have to do the following to activate the 2016 license: https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/how-do-i-get-a-license-file-for-an-offline-installation-of-intel-parallel-studio-xe-2016

The 2016 license requires a host ID for each install, which is provided by the 2016 product versions but not older versions.
