Do the IR Cameras work with mounted cover (R200)? If yes, how can they see through it?

Hello everyone.

I am totally new here and i would like to understand if the R200 Cam is able to work with mounted cover. The original blue metalic one with the intel trade in it. If it can, how?

Would be great if someone give me a hint!

All the best

Christian

Well, the material is opaque in visible light, but transparent in IR.

So, they see through it in the same way you can see through a window, just in a different wavelength.

Have you seen those PIR alarms that detect movement?, they are also opaque to visible light, but IR transparent. Or even the little plastic on some TV/Stereo remote controls. Same concept.
